Aches & Pains

Pain can be caused by a multitude of reasons

We will do a full and thorough assessment of your problem and talk you through a rehab plan to help get you back up and moving.  This involves detailed clinical assessment of your joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves, along with lifestyle issues like your work, activity and sleep.  We can also advise on whether further investigation is appropriate.

We will always try and keep you going at your chosen activity although some modifications may be necessary.  It is better to move and stay strong than avoid exercising and allowing the tissues to get weaker.  For example if you have a shoulder tendon issue or have pain on the outside of your hip, it is important to strengthen the muscles and tendons rather than let them weaken by avoiding activities.

Treatments we may use include strengthening or flexibility exercises, joint or nerve mobilisations, advice and education about your problem, shockwave or laser treatment.
