Stronger for Longer

Did you know that you lose an average of 5% of your muscle strength every decade?

This is known as sarcopaenia.  Most people know about bone loss (osteoporosis) but muscle loss may be as important.  This class is suitable for the older adult who would like to strengthen up but is not keen on joining a gym.

Our Stronger for Longer class incorporates strengthening exercises for the arms, legs and core muscles and balance training is an important part of it.  Resistance training will involve using stretchy band (we can supply it – €5), your own body weight and some free weights.  Classes last one hour.

A set of 8 classes costs €120 (Zoom) or €140 (clinic).  Classes are run in sets of eight but you can join at any time.  If you are interested in doing a FREE trial class, please let us know.  .  If you do a second class in the same calendar week, it only costs €5.  If you haven’t use Zoom, we can help you set it up and get started.  Please give us notice (about 3 hours) if you are unable to attend as there is a cancellation charge for late cancellations/no shows.
